The Church of Jesus Christ is one Church, in all its variety, because it is founded on the fundamental Gospel call, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13 & Joel 2:32) and Ephesians 2:8, "For it is by grace you have been saved through faith".

When you join us for worship you will hear a lot about Jesus and you will find that we take the Bible seriously as the revealed Word of God.  While most of the people at our church were not raised Presbyterian, we are comfortably united around our common experience of God's grace, forgiveness, and love.

From time to time you will hear us talk about the things that make us part of the Reformed tradition, a theological heritage based on the work of Calvin and Zwingli that demonstrates a high regard for the authority of Scripture and the sovereignty of God.

I firmly believe thet each follower of Jesus should be in a place where his or her faith can grow stronger.  Through worship, Sunday school, and small groups; we invite you to challenge, deepen and increase your faith.

Not all of us have the same style, so if the Presbyterian church is not for you,  you will find twenty other choices in Herrin alone.   Each of them are served by faithful pastors and filled with godly people.  I'm sure that any of them would agree with me that "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

May God bless you,

Michael Neubert
