If you are looking for a church in Herrin, we are happy to welcome you to First Evangelical Presbyterian Church. We welcome all the people of God; as well as those who are asking, considering, wondering, or thinking about Jesus.
Our contemporary worship service is at 9:03 am in the Fellowship Hall, 420 N. Park Ave. The traditional service is in the main sanctuary at 11:00 am, 421 N. 14th Street.
Our church is evangelical (centered in Jesus Christ and strongly valuing the authority of the Bible) and Reformed (based in John Calvin’s teachings on God’s sovereignty).
As an ECO congregation, we are part of a movement of God's people working for faith, justice, and peace. Some distinctive traits of our church include a commitment to discipleship, a priority on leadership development, and an affirmation of women in leadership.
The Children's Christmas program will be held on Sunday evening, December 18th, at 7 pm in the Fellowship Hall, 420 N. 14th Street. Please stay for refreshments after the program. Everyone is welcome.
In December, our volunteer days at the Pantry are Tuesday the 13th from 8:45 to 12 noon, and Friday the 16th from 12:45 to 4:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you there.
The House of Hope is open, serving lunch monday - friday from 11am until 1 pm. If you would like to volunteer, you may do so on the House of Hope website, or by contacting the church at email@example.com or 618-942-6176.
